My last catch – a Kodak DCS Pro14n(x) Final

Rotten Place – Rotten Camera – Rotten Lens… It is always a little adventure visiting that „Rotten – but well known – Place“ in the south of Sweden, about 200 km away from Copenhagen/Denmark. Eastern 2019 I visited the place again with my rotten Kodak DCS Pro14nx, equipped only with a 1,4/50 mm AF N...

A Miracle? 21 years old batteries working!

https://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Geschichten/Kodak_DCS3c_Akku/Kodak_DCS3c_1200q.jpg I really beg your pardon for the "faux pas" presenting a (my!) Canon in this forum. But a Kodak/Canon could be accepted. I think the sensor is almost the same as the one used in the Kodak/Associate...

Re: DCS 760M on the Bay

Yes, the DCS760M is very rare.

But I prefer my 350 Euro/Dollar Kodak DCS760C and use Adobe Lightroom if I want B&W.
Would be interesting how much better (really?) a DCS760M could perform in a battle vs. DCS760C.

Completely impossible to use all even from time to time. And I don't want to use most of them! But I have my "kanon" of favorite cameras, contain...

Re: What determines collectability?

Hi Stan Every Nikon is collectable ;-) I think you have named the important Nikons. Out of my line of Kodak/Nikon DSLRs I still use the heavy and great DCS760c and the High (ISO-) Speed DCS620x from time to time. My Kodak/Canon DCS520 rests most of her time in the box… But there is one Kodak/„Canon“...

Re: Nikon D100 – „The little D1“ or „D1 light“ from 2002

The D100 was a revolutionary camera when it was first introduced. Great resolution at an affordable price (relatively speaking, of course). With its six megapixel (3008x2000) sensor, the D100 (later supplemented by the D70) was Nikon's highest resolution camera until the 12.4 megapixel flagship mod...

Re: Nikon Df

Hi Stan You wrote: „The Df is probably too new to be considered collectible, but I wonder if any of the gang here shoot with one?“ Beside my D1, D1X, D2Hs and D2X I use the fullframe D800. Within the last days I bought a D4. Yes, almost as double as heavy like the Df and no folding Non-AI-Lens apert...

Re: I Shall Return

Reaching about 500 digital cameras I'm fed up - with boaring consumer digital cams. But I will go on using my "Kanon" containing about 30 different DSLR and mirrorless DSLM bodies an brands. My priority lays on Nikon, but I have no problem using the great Canon EOS 1D as well as my working Fullframe...

My collectable with the highest practical value: Nikon D2X

Usually taken to the basketball gym, I estimate this Nikon from 2004 with another article:„Faszination Profikamera“ – „Fascination Pro-Camera“ Enjoy my tour to an abandoned basalt rock crusher park https://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin//user_upload/Geschichten/Nikon_D2X_Kanon/Beispielfotos_II/Stoef...

Nikon D100 – „The little D1“ or „D1 light“ from 2002

Nikon presented its first 2.7 MP Pro-DSLR D1 in 1999. 2001 came the successors D1H (2.7 MP) and D1X (6 MP). Photographers who couldn’t afford a D1 had to wait until 2002. The year Nikon presented its 6 MP semi-pro Nikon D100, sometimes called „Little D1" or "D1 Light". Is the D100 collectable? I dec...

Re: Kodak PhotoDesk

I found only this: http://kodak-dcs-photo-desk.software.informer.com/download/ I know it is "only" for Windows. I downloaded and installed Photo Desk and it works! I tried it on my iMac with OS 10.12 running Windows 2000 under VirtualBox: https://www.digicammuseum.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Geschichte...
