Nikon cables
Hi friends, I am looking for an alternative cable of the Nikon GP1-CA90, since Nikon is asking a ridiculous price of 70 euro/dollar. Does one of you know whether there is a grey market cable (with identical connectors) at a reasonable price. It is the cable to connect the Nikon GPS-1 with my Nikon P...

Re: D2 battery code
Thanks Stan for your reaction. The D1 batteries (EN-4) had a 4-digit code: the first two are indicating the year of production, the last two the month. The D2-series camera were produced between July 2003 and August 2007. I have another battery with code H 3 9 A. 39 could be the week in which the ba...

D2 battery code
Hi friends, does someone know what the (Nikon D2-series) battery code on the EN-EL4/a batteries is indicating? One of my batteries has code M 4 8 B. The code on the D1 batteries give us some info about the prodcution month and year. What about the D2 batteries? Thanks and regards, Nico www.nicovandi...

Re: Nikon D2Hs
Thanks Ralf, for this report. The D2H/D2Hs is/are interesting - for collectors and for photographers - because of its sensor, home made by Nikon. They never used it again! If you do not need high resolution but speed the D2H is your camera. Upgrading the firmware of a D2H makes it a D2Hs. The same g...

Re: 100 Years Nikon
Nice film Kiu. But Nikon doesnot mention that its first 28 years it was part of a war industry, and has based its optical engineering on European knowhow. The man in the film announced as David Duncan Douglas is NOT DDD. David has told us that he doesnot know who that man is. The shots made in space...

Re: End of the (Collectors) Line? – Nikon D2X
I agree that after the D2-series I do not need a newer camera. I know high ISO settings can't be used for serious images, but the camera is strong and works and works. Last week my D2X passed the 350,000 clicks line without any problems. Now and than I even use my old Nikon D1. Still working and if ...

Re: DCS100 sold for 300 Br. Pounds
Congratulations John!
If the set is working it would be interesting to see some pictures taken with the DCS100.
I have the original sales brochure of the camera but never had one myself.
Good luck.
regards,
Nico

Hi out there! I digged up my old Nikon D1 and Nikon D1H and made some shots. While looking to the NEF images, made with the D1 in Nikon View NX2 I saw in the Metadata - File info 2 four lines of text: date shot / time zone and date / image quality / copyright: copyright Nikon Corporation 1999. The l...
