Sony Mavica lenses

Further to my Canon SV lens adapter I have finally made an adapter to use Sony Mavica lenses on a modern Sony NEX. Of course no aperture control. I calculate a sensor to flange register distance of 57mm, certainly the longest to smallest-sensor ratio? Designing the wide 5mm & 6.5mm lenses can't...

Canon SV Lenses

My latest project - A mount converter to use Canon SV lenses on a Sony NEX. The NEX is great for this sort of caper, being mirrorless with a very short register (18mm) & great image quality as well. One can buy on eBay almost every possible combination of lens adapters, but I doubt this particul...

Re: Got a RC-760!!!

Thanks as always for your knowledge. I managed to get a Sony MVC-7000 working which has a built in player (NTSC) and a very twitchy eject switch. The MVC-5000 is only a recorder even though it has a video out. The camera must have been used in a media college of some sort, lots of students & AV ...

Got a RC-760!!!

Just received a Canon RC-760 from eBay. Seller had listed lenses separately so good job I spotted them. £225 for body, 6mm, 13~52mm & 50~150mm [Just got to find a 11~66mm now!] The charger is 120 volt, presumably from the US which is a NTSC country, hence this; It came with a few video floppies ...

Minolta serial numbers, eg RD-175, 3000, SB-70, etc

I think I have worked out the "system" of date code in [later] Minolta camera serial numbers, (might be proved wrong as I am not sure exactly when some were discontinued) The 1st & 2nd digits appear to show month of manufacture. For example if the first digit is 1, the 2nd digit is the...

Want old software? PhotoShop, PhotoStyler, ad nauseum

If you want old PhotoShops, PhotoStylers, Windows, AutoCADs and all sorts of other obsolete software have a look at this site.

No connection to this but have used it plenty.

Another scam DCS 100 ebay listing???

This one made me think scam from the funny description & photos. This is a UK listing in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Having read another post here it involves "lorypj2000@gmail.com" user id: susiep38 The lorypj bit was in an image, not in text... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kodak-DCS-100-DCS-...

Re: Very basic SCSI questions

Thank you Mr. Disbrow, you deserve an award for most knowledgeable. No way to run SCSI from parallel or serial ports. I mean I have a Belkin parallel to SCSI adapter . And I have 2 different PCMCIA to SCSI cards. I thought the 50 pin might also be for printers, so that's easy. I have Photoshop 5 wit...
