Formatting CF card to be used in DCS520
I am having problem using Compact Flash card with adaptor on my DCS520. I have a 1Gb SanDisk Extreme III CF card which is formatted in XP, and I have been using it with my D1x without problem. It read/write fine on DCS520. But after using it on DCS520, no files were shown in windows explorer. Luckil...

Re: Kodak DCS 520 charger
Both card slots are working fine now after upgrading the firmware. But I still haven't got hold of any EF lens to really test the camera. Pretty tied up at work recently.

Re: Kodak DCS 520 charger
Thanks Stan for the detailed information. The Maha charger has arrived. It works but the comestic is pretty bad, don't know what it has gone through. Anyway, I have charged two Ni-Cd and both goes as high as 9.5v near full-charge, would it be too high? I have also tried to charge some of my D1x batt...

Re: Kodak DCS 520 charger
Thanks Jarle. Honestly I didn't notice your very informative page on DCS batteries until now. I had been looking for Maha MH-C777 3 or 4 years ago when my D1X batteries dying on me but had had no luck, the whole series of universal charger from Maha was then discontinued. Most ebay listings I have s...

Re: Nikon E-series memory cards - please report your findings
I've added your 80 MB IBM card to the first generation list (not working). Not sure who reported this, but the exact same card should work with a second generation body (E2N, etc). Jarle It is me who reported the IBM card (36H1757, 1996) working on E2N. In fact I bought an extra one and both works ...

Re: Nikon E-series memory cards - please report your findings
Hi, It may not be appropriate to post in this thread. Anyway, I have a Smartmedia to PCMCIA adaptor on hand but don't have any 5V smartmedia to test on my E2N. It is really difficult to find any 5V SM card now, not even on ebay. I don't know if any of you have experience with this kind of adapter on...

Re: Issues about E2N
the IBM Solid State File 80Mb PC card ordered from ebay works on E2N. I am happy now.
There is still one tiny problem with my E2N, the battery chamber doesn't lock the battery or AC adapter well enough. I have to push it upward constantly to make it keep in contact.

Re: Issues about E2N
Thanks, Stan. I have tried another PC card, Sharp 10MB (CE-AF05), reportedly made by Sandisk. It doesn't work either. After reading Jarle's post, I have ordered an IBM "Solid State File" 80Mb PC card from ebay. I hope it will work, but I won't try another even if it doesn't. Stan, you ment...
