NASA astronaut on photography in space

Great read by former NASA astronaut Alan Poindexter: Two years ago today, I was tremendously privileged to land Space Shuttle Discovery after commanding her on her penultimate mission. It just so happens that Discovery was transferred to the Smithsonian yesterday and today is open for public viewing...

Re: NIKON E2I

There's a handful of Google hits. Seems like a medical version. The E2I box label in your photo appears to be placed over the original E2 printed on the box. Would be interesting to see the bottom label on the camera itself. My guess is that this (customized?) version is very close to the original E...

Re: Nikon D4 is here

I always believed that one day still cameras would die out, and instead people would just take still frames from hi-def video cameras and use them instead (or just not take still frames at all, because in the future everybody would have a portable video screen and there would be no newspapers). Ins...

Re: Nikon D4 is here

For the professional news shooter a PRO video-camcorder is irreplaceable (yet). Hi Nico. I'm a professional photo journalist for a daily newspaper. Both myself and my colleagues are using DSLRs to shoot video. We also have dedicated video journalists that are using professional video equipment, but...

Re: Nikon D4 is here

What can I say? Seems like Nikon has made an excellent camera even better! Testing a sample camera using early firmware, image quality already looks very nice (on the camera monitor). I already have this one. It's rare, alright, but I'll be surprised if it sells at this price.
