Re: Nikon D100 for $45
Don't worry Kiu! You may put the camera on your bedsite table or mantelpiece, but maybe someone has ever opened the body and has fotgotten to connect everything properly. So why not open the back (5 screws/ 2 on each side and one under the viewfinder) and see if all the connectors are OK? Check if t...

Re: Help, I need a battery!
Be careful! The D1 charger (aka Nikon MH-16) has an output of 8.7V. The E3 charger (aka Nikon EH-3) too. The MH-16 has no socket to plug in the ES-1, the EH-3 charger has one socket for the ES-1 plug with an output of 8V (1.6A). So, the MH-16 is useless. It is better to find a cell-phone charger wit...

Re: Nikon D4 is here
Hi Jarle, today I also had the opportunity to 'taste' the new camera. It is a solid workhorse and even 200 Euro cheaper than the D3X! The new camera will be available here in Holland from February 16. Photography and video in one body is not what I am asking/needing. For the professional news shoote...

Re: Formatting CF card to be used in DCS520
Hi Frank, I don't think there is a problem with the adapter. I would never format a card, used in a DCS camera, in a PC running under Windows XP (and higher). I think it is a FAT-problem. I would also advise you to open the cards/files in an older Nikon View (e.g. 6) software (not in explorer). I ha...

Re: NikonWeb.com article: Nikon V1 first impressions
Hi friends, I agree that both cameras are way too expensive, given the present prices of their competitors. If Nikon wants to please Nikon users or newcomers, they should do something with the price. A pity is the crop factor, too. Concerning lens mounts Nikon had the S-mount for its rangefinder cam...

Re: Kodak sells Image Sensor Solutions business
It is a pitty to sell that part to some risk investment guys, they'll fleece the company and sell it. And what about Olympus? Committing fraud = over and out! Has the world become that greedy?

Nikon D1H - Fuji S2 swap
Hi friends, who is in for a swap? I am offering a black Fuji Finepix S2Pro (in black) digital SLR in perfect shape. It has the body of a Nikon F80 + F-mount (1.5 crop) and 6 Mp. Works on normal batteries (4 x AA + 2x CR123), so no charger etc. needed. I am looking for a handsome and working Nikon D1...

Re: The Nikon F100: Invincible
Hi, Allow me to explain Nikon’s position in the world of photography. Nikon was established as an optical industry supplying optics to the Japanese forces. The quality of the optics were amazing, but understandably as Nikon hired 8 German experts and Hitler handed them all Zeiss (and other) patents ...
