Hi Stan, again thanks!
I am so sorry that I do know nothing about cables. And I am also sorry that I cannot help you to get rid of your cables.
Let's hope someone else has that particular cable, that came in a Nikon SCSI Kit.
Regards,
Nico

Re: SS-E300 cable wanted!
Thanks Stan & Jarle, below a picture of the port of the CP300. It is the only Coolpix I know that doesn't use memory cards. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/nikon-nl/cp300portA.jpg The manual notes: 'the Coolpix 300 comes with a 9-pin RS-232C serial cable for connection to a male 9-pin seri...

Re: SS-E300 cable wanted!
Hi Stan! Thanks for your reply. I know the shipping fees, yes they can be very high. I like to have a cable (of whatever brand) to connect the CP300 to a PC (DOS, not Mac). If you have a cable (other than the original Nikon cable) that fits the camera I'll find a solution for the connector at the ot...

Photokina 2010
Hi everybody, If you are interested what the Photokina had to offer, read this: Nikon showed in a new and huge stand their new digi-SLR's and the new P7000. I am afraid this camera will not beat the Canon G11/12. I haven't seen images yet, but if they have the same 'quality' as the P6000, it is bett...

Re: Nikon Coolpix 100, E-100 on eBay
Thanks Stan, for this nice deal!! Although it is my second CP100 I am glad I have all the boxes and paperwork now. I wonder how many were made/sold, since the serial numbers of both cameras have a gap of several thousands. Now I have to find a nice CP300.
Thanks again and regards,
Nico

Re: Nikon F3 Hawkeye
Stan, have a look at my website for a shot of the sensor of a DCS camera back; there isn't much to see, save the sensor. Everything else is in the large bottom. I do not see any battery compartment or so in the Nikon F3 Hawkeye. Can it be a prototype of the first digital F3 where you had to carry a ...

Nikon F3 Hawkeye
Fellow collectors! A Belgian friend sent me the pics below of a Nikon F3 with Kodak digital back. Anybody know more about this camera? http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/nikon-nl/F3HawkeyeII4.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b80/nikon-nl/F3HawkeyeII5.jpg Interesting camera I've never seen be...

Re: Nikon Coolpix 100, E-100 on eBay
Hi Stan, nearly all cameras ever produced and sold have their shutter trigger at the right hand side of the body. For older rangefinder cameras (like Leica) there were/are special accessories for people that are lefthanded. What eye you use doesn't matter, it is the hand/finger you are using to trig...

Re: The Shelves of Obsolete Electronics
Hi Stan, the first bid comes from my wife :D I stopped using ebay. Ebay allows you to pull the auction 1 day before it ends, even if there are bidders. I just made a bid not to miss it. You still can pull it and give me a hint of what you have in mind at nicholasvandijk at gmail dot com or via my we...

Re: The Shelves of Obsolete Electronics
Hi Stan, I can't walk that CP100 to your post office but I am willing to spent a beer or so for that exercise. Pull the ebay thing and tell me what you want for it. If I or somebody else will give a bid of 10 bucks you'll probably pull it anyway. I'll pay you in whatever currecy (I have some Zim-dol...

Re: The Shelves of Obsolete Electronics
To both Stan & Christoph, I am interested in the Coolpix 100 and in a shutter speed tester. Just let me know what the CP100 would cost me (including shipping to Holland - I'll pay cash if needed). To test a shutter there are several trics, like using a TV-set a via a sound card + sound editing s...

Hi Stan, do I see a shutter speed metering device in your 'museum'? I would be interested.
