Hi, this screw 'tells' the camera whether there is a film in it or not. If you remove that screw and close the normal film back, the camera wont work.
You'll find this screw also on the F801/N8008-series with film- or digiback (kodak).
Regards,
Nico

QV-1000C
Congratulations Jarle with this camera and the Fuji you've bought today at ebay. I couldn't stay up that long
What are the serial numbers of these QV-series? And of the lenses? You don't have to give me the exact numbers but I am interested in the production.
Regards,
Nico

Downgrade Nikon D1X
Hello,
I have a Nikon D1X with the software upgrade. Disadvantage of that upgrade is an enormous energy consumption. How can I delete that upgrade without going to the NPS?
Thanks and regards,
Nico

production of D1-series
Hello, does somebody has figures about the total production of the D1, D1X and D1H ?? The D1 may have a total production of approx. 35,000 bodies (given the serial numbers I've seen). But what about the D1X and D1H. The latter wasn't sold that much, or? And: did the D1H had a software upgrade as wel...

F4
Hi, I agree with the webmaster that the Nikon F4 is one of the best AF camera's Nikon ever build. I work with it since it came on the market and never had problems. The best feature of the camera is that it is the last professional Nikon camera which takes all Nikkor lenses with an F-mount, without ...

AI or not AI
Yes Kiu, I am happy to see that Nikon's latest products can be used with the older but solid AI/AIS-lenses. Nikon claims to have made more than 35 million lenses, but only most AF-lenses are usable. It is a pitty that cameras like the Nikon FM2/FM3a is missing the collapsible aperture prong (like F3...

ebay, no way!
Dear Kiu, don't open whatever offers in your regular email browser. Only open ebay messages in your 'My messages'-box in your 'My ebay' after you've signed in via regular ebay procdure. All other messages you've received outside this box sent them immediately to spoof@ebay.com. The same goes for pay...

No. 9
Hi JArle, I found this camera in a shop. My D100, which I had used for two years, gave some technical problems and I always wanted to (re)use my AI/S-lenses. The shop keeper had a few used D1 bodies. Actually I was looking for a D1X, but this one - given its serial number - I bought. I don't use it ...
