Re: IMAGEK

Thanks Jarle, it is a pitty that it became vapour-ware. Maybe someday somewhere one of the prototypes will appear.

Nico

IMAGEK (Digital Film)

Dear friends, is anybody able to inform me what happened with the IMAGEK EFS-1 (electronic film system), that was introduced in February 1998? It was a digital insert for camera bodies like the Nikon F3 and had a CMOS sensor of 1.3 Mp. I've never seen one so I am asking if one of you has ever shot i...

Re: Nikon will provide 'better balance' of ISO and resolution

Hi Jarle, may I link you to my site (http://www.nicovandijk.net/digitalspecials.htm) where you can read an interesting development in digital camera production. Nikon is producing some digital cameras (DS-Series) for scientists, where each camera has a CCD cooled at 10 degrees below its uncooled sta...

Re: New D1-series replacement batteries

Thanks for the hint Jarle, but I think for Europeans the German ebay is the best and the cheapest source to buy replacements for the EN-4. From 17.70 Euro and up to 3000 mhA with at least one year warranty (compulsory for those located in Germany). And no import taxes and additional VAT, etc. I am u...

Re: DSC DC3

Hi, have a look here http://www.nikonweb.com/files/DCS_Story.pdf for more info. A very important part of the total equipment is missing, the Digital Store Unit, being a portable 'PC' with a 200 Mb hard disk drive and power unit to be carried on your back. 987 units were produced. Re: World Press Photo winners announced

The World Press Photo Contest - based in Amsterdam - is to promote and support news photography and photo-journalism since 1955. Corporate sponsors are Canon (for some 18 years!) and TNT. Not only shooting a picture but also editing the picture is (nowadays) important. Thousands of professional phot...

Nikon cables

Hi everybody! I have two cables for sale: Nikon SC-EW2 PC-cable (Windows) for early Coolpix cameras like 700, 800 and 950; Nikon EG-900 video cable for Coolpix 900. I've put them on ebay.de but if anybody is interested and offers me a nice banknote let me know. Both cables are new in the box and nev...

Hi collectors! Is a Coolpix 300 that rare? Does anybody out there has one (even not for sale)?
Please let me know via my site.

Coolpix 300 wanted

Hi out there! I am looking for a Coolpix 300 for display in a Nikon centre near Amsterdam. If someone has one for sale (even if it doesn't work, but is complete) I am interested. Contact me via my site.
Thanks and regards,
Nico

Re: Leica dream - I'll give away a M9 (if I can)

Quid pro quo, Jarle! Those that are giving you money may force your hand! So be careful !!
I sincerely hope you'll manage to find funds to buy a Leica M9, I like your initiative, but - you know well - dreams are deceptive.
Good luck and regards,
Nico

Re: Leica dream - help finance a Leica M9!

Hi Jarle,
your attempt to find a (multi-)millionaire is a nice one, but why not try an old offer made by Leica: the Leica lease plan. Ask FotoKnudsen in Oslo, whether you may (or still can) lease a new Leica (+ lenses)?

Re: Free file recovery software

Hi Jarle, since a few months I am using SanDisk RescuePRO 3.2. which came free of charge with some CF-cards. It is a very nice recovery tool. It is distributed in Norway by Aronsen and Aurora Group Norge.

Re: Nikon QV-1000C in Musée français de la Photographie

Jarle, the last three digits of the serial number of the camera in Paris are 921 !! Which is very close to your camera, isn't it?
Lucky you! The first three digits are difficult to read: I think it reads 700 921.

Re: Nikon D1x

30cal, if you (or anybody else) are in for a swap: I have a very nice, fairly used, but 100% working Nikon D1X. Recently serviced by the NPS here in Holland. It has a new rubber cover and the shutter has been checked (approx. 160,000 activations but fully serviced). I have also a very nice (much bet...

Re: Leica M9 - love at first light (NikonWeb article)

Hi Jarle, I doubt whether Nikon is coming with any camera with a non-Nikon mount. Either a simple rangefinder or SLR camera with an AI-mount would serve all those millions of owners of expensive older Nikkor lenses, which they can't use on modern G-mount camera's. So a digital Nikon SP or FM-alike b...
