The card is formatted in my PC, in FAT, and recognized by any DCS 4xx camera.
SCSI to USB adapters are unreasonably expensive and I doubt they will fully work as proper SCSI terminals.

To my understanding there is no separate software for this tethered camera. All the company provided were some (twain) drivers to capture the feed in Photoshop and some development libraries to perform calibrations and adjust settings.
