DCS200 Contacts!
I took the DCS200 and the N8008s with MF-20 out today. Very hot and humid. The DCS200 refused to snap a picture. Exchanged the camera portion, same problem. Both N8008s portions worked with film, not the DCS200. DCS200 LCD turned on, just "No Click!" Got it home, hard drive spun up just fi...

Shots with the DCS200ir
I created a Flickr folder for some shots out of the DCS200ir. These are done with my own RAW to .BMP converter, which picks up some dynamic range and a few more pixels (1536x1024) over the Kodak TWAIN drivers. Photoshop used to convert the BMP's into JPG's, nothing more. The Flickr upload software s...

I tend to use my E3 exclusively with a 60mm F2.8 Micro-Nikkor. The E3 works with my SB-29 ringflash, something the newer D1 and D2 series cannot do. I like the SB-29, with it's TTL mode and modeling light. Great for 1:1 close-ups with the E3. I've been using the E3 at work for some close-ups for a t...

The standard Kodak DCS camera DCS200m, DCS200C, DCS420c, DCS420m, DCS460c, DCS420m, etc have IR cutoff filters epoxied to the CCD. They are practically impossible to remove without destroying the CCD. They take a 95% or so cut out of the IR band. Otherwise, half of the image response of the CCD woul...

I've had good luck on my Nikon E3 with just about anything I put in it. I'm currently using a Sandisk 110MByte card. I also use a CF to PCMCIA adapter with simpletech 256MByte cards, 128MByte PNY cards, etc. Anything that I've use in the D1 works. I only press the two format buttons. Halfway depress...

E3 Sale
Both buyer and seller have 100% feedback. The buyer only would have an item pulled if it was a scam, or if the seller was not paying Ebay fees. I won an item, only to have it yanked out from under me by Ebay. The seller was "Past Due". I suspect a buyer that has not visited our forum to se...

My DCS200ir works with WIN95b. I have never tried it on XP. The other issue will be getting an old version of Photoshop or Photostyler that supports the Kodak TWAIN-16 drivers. Photoshop 4.0 will work, as will 3.0. I have MY disks for WIN3.1. I am still using WIN 3.1 on an embedded computer at work....

As sensors get better, higher resolution, start pushing 20MPixels, that is when I would really miss not having an SLR or digital RF that takes all of my lenses. It's not just about focal length and F-stop, I like the character of a lens. I would love an LTM or M-Mount RF to use my plethora (you can'...

Same seller, a Kodak Still Video Recorder.
Anyone know about this recorder? Does it pre-date or co-exist with the DCS?

Down to $49.99. I bought two batteries for the E3 from this seller. They work perfectly, and were less than $20 each. I would have been happy with dead packs to re-cell at that price.

Considering the low price of the Canon 3ir with its 1.6MPixel CCD, I can't see how anyone can realistically get $9,000 for this camera. I suspect it would carry a 50% premium over a DCS760c, but not go for 9x the price. I do not think that collecting old Digital cameras will ever have the stature of...
