Can DCS 200 work with N8008 body?

Post by Ross_Alford »

Another question. I have a DCS200 bought as a complete outfit, which came with an N8008s body. It works fine. I have three DCS200 backs, bought on eBay some time ago for very little, that work fine but have no camera bodies. The other day, I bought a couple of N8008 bodies very inexpensively. The 200s recognize that there is a body attached, the body however does not seem to recognize that it is attached to the 200. Continues to say it is empty and the shutter will not fire. I could have sworn I had seen or heard of DCS200 backs with N8008 (not N8008s) bodies. The manual downloaded from Kodak, however, only refers to N8008s.

Anyone seen a DCS200 working on an N8008, or know for sure that it cannot work?

Thanks,
Ross

I have the same experience-I only have a N8008 and it wont do anything on my 200 (thinks it's empty, wont fire.)

DSC backs on a F801/s or N8008/s

Hi, I think you should remove the little pin/screw on top of the film rails - just under the viewfinder - at the back of your camera. Than the back will work. Let me know if it works.
