Hi,
As most of us know by now, the venerable TIFF file format is more of a data container than an image file standard. So it is with the TIFF file recorded by the Nikon E-series DSLRs. One needs a fie format plug-in for Photoshop.
I can't find this on the various Nikon websites, but Fuji's site still has it:

Anyone playing with these old cameras will probably want to get this.

Nikon View and Nikon Capture can also read the E-camera TIFF files (but they will not, for some reason, display any EXIF info - you'll need to use Windows Explorer instead: Pop-up menu > Properties).
RAW PhotoDesk, a simple raw converter I've put together, will also open these files, using Nikon's own SDK (you can easily batch convert E-TIFF's to 'ordinary' TIFF files, PSD, JPEG, etc.)
You can download a trial version at www.rawphotodesk.com (or even better: regular contributors on this forum can have it for free, just drop me an email and I'll send you the details).
