Looking for info on how to maximize battery life for my old D1-series EN-4 (NiMH 7.2V 2000 mAh) batteries, I came across this interesting article on robgalbraith.com:
http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/conten ... -4059-4110
The short version: ".. to extract maximum performance from a NiMH battery pack, it must be run through three conditioning (charge/discharge) cycles when new." And: "..that even if the photographer's EN-4 wasn't triple-conditioned when new it may not be too late to do it now. A triple-condition to try and jumpstart things really can't hurt and may help restore lost capacity."
EDIT: After first posting the above, I came across this thread on dpreview, including great info from our very own Stan Disbrow (direct link to one of his posts): http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read. ... ge=1896117
Got any other good battery tips? Let's hear them!
