Just wanted to remind everyone that there's a great source of historical information on Nikon's own website:

For example, you'll find some interesting and hard to find information about Nikon's first 'electronic' camera QV-1000C and telephoto transmitters NT-1000/2000/3000 under 'Nikon Family Cousins'.
