A Nikon F4 Electronic Still Camera was today sold on eBay for $2046. Needless to say, I tried to get it, but lost in the very last seconds of the auction.

Fortunately, the camera came without the digital back. It was basically just a modified and useless F4 body with a DA-20 action finder. Thinking about it, I'm glad I didn't get it. (Not really, I'm just trying to convince myself..)

Anyway, here's the auction text and photos published on NikonWeb.com with the seller's permission. Enjoy.

Without the digital back its kinda half complete.
The other item to note is that most of the older NASA cameras were engraved as such, although this camera had enough proof.
Discovering and recording sucha camera is not as gratifying as owning one but still has its own special rewards :o :D
