For anyone who cares (grin)

After my switch to a Win7 PC, I tried connecting my F5 (and MF-28) to the new PC, via a MC-33 cable to the COM port on the PC.
This connection is supposed to work with Nikon's Photo secretary software, from 1997.
The software was designed for Windows-95.

This took some searches on the internet (thank you big G...)

I have found
-on Win-XP the software would run quite normally.
-the Photo Secretary setup.exe will not run in a Win7 64 bit environment
-the original executables (FILMAN, CAMOP, CAMIDset) will work, when one copies them to the Win7 system directly.
-the old style .HLP files can be read on Win7 after a patch from Microsoft to read these old-style .HLP files.

regards, Gilbert
