Inside the ActionCam/RD-175

Post by precertvideo » Wed Feb 06, 2008 9:08 pm

Just thought I'd have a peek inside-the back comes off pretty easily

Underneath the case there is an all encompassing tin shield...

...The view finder tunnel is a very odd shape, don't know why...

...To the left of the VF is the rear of the white balance sensor, underneath which the 3 CCD's are visible...
The light rays pass through the shutter as normal, are reflected to the left side of the camera to a beam splitter, and passed to the respective CCD.

...But I couldn't see any way off identifying which picks up which colour.
