Re: What else would you do with $300,000? MVC-5000
Hi,
This must be a way of telling the masses that keep emailing to Buy It Now on a standard auction (which has no BIN option in the listing) that there "is no BIN option, stupid!"....
That's all I can think of, anyway. I get those BIN queries all the time on auctions where I did not put in a BIN. I figure that not having one ought to say that there isn't one and I even put text in my auctions saying there there is no BIN. And, yet, I always get BIN query emails.....
I like to think that those emails are indicative of a failed intelligence test myself, and just chuckle at them, but I can see where thay could become annoying. I suppose this guy feels that way, so he put in a BIN that's way out in left field because he wants folks to bid it up to what the market thinks it's worth and not have to deal with those particular emails....
And, I see where he's put in his reserve for all to see as the opening bid amount.
Thanks for pointing this one out. I'll be chuckling about that BIN amount all day long!
later!
Stan

Re: What else would you do with $300,000? MVC-5000
That's hilarious! But I wouldn't be surprised if it works. Simple psychology - with a BIN like that, (some) people will feel it's a bargain if they get it for $1500.
Now, for half that price, I'd be happy to sell one of my Nikon QV-1000C kits. Heck, I'll even throw in a DCS 100 and a couple of other nice cameras. A real bargain!
