Not for long!!
The introduction of LCD displays in cameras killed Polaroid. There no point in beating a dead horse.
KiuThat is true only for the pros' polaroid backs on 35mm and medium format cameras. Otherwise there has been no subsitute for the instant print yet.
And my teenagers think Polaroid is cool. By comparison, dslrs are serious, and compacts can't compete with iphones and the like.
The "impossible project" will have several niches for itself:
The "cool factor", as long as that lasts.
The art crowd.
Test shots on large format cameras. Because there, even the repeated use of expensive polaroids beats a digital medium format or scanning back hands down, both on price and on convenience (I wish that were different).
I think that should be enough to make it a viable business for some time.
