I got a "new" E2n and the pictures came out BAD

Take a look .....

I've never had any such issues, but here's a couple of suggestions:

Did you try to recharge the battery (or a different battery, if you have one)?

Try with a different memory card.

I doubt you'll be able to fix this old thing. Most Nikon service centers have probably never seen one, and I'm sure it's very difficult - or even impossible - to get any spare parts. Finally, a repair is likely to cost more than a "new" camera. Too bad, but I guess it's part of the game. Still, good luck. Let us know if you're able to make it work properly.

I'm not a technical expert, but as the image seems to be "doubled" or defocused, I would suggest an optical issue.

Maybe the CCD sensor and the internal focal lenght compensation system are no longer "aligned" ?

I had the same thought, but it looks digital to me. Especially the first photo with the vertical noise stripes. Hard to tell, though.
