Re: Exciting historical info from Kodak - incl. prod. numbers!

With all of the prototypes listed, I'm surprised not to see my DCS200ir in the line-up. Kodak madea small run of them, and even placed them on GSA schedule. The model number on the SN plate is DCS200ir. Cost was $12,400. That is a number that I remember well! Much cheaper than having a custom CCD bu...

Re: All Kodak Nikon models to date

I'm Back! I noticed that the DCS200ir is not listed under DCS200 models. I have one, and it even has DCS200ir on the SN plate. I talked to Kodak when the DCS200 came out, and asked them to make it. A few months later, they called back and told me the Army wanted the same thing and that they were goi...

Jarle,
I'm also using the Adaptec 2940 under WIN95B for my DCS200ir.

I'll power it up and take a look.

That Nikon E3 has me completely spoiled taking the PCCIA cards and working with my SB-29 ringlight. It gets the use. Taking pictures of my cameras.

It's been a while since I signed on!

The Hot Mirror Filter has a noticeable Magenta cast to it, and will reflect Magenta. It cuts about 99% of the IR. Some CCD's made by Kodak had a removable cover plate, others were epoxied on. The latter cannot be removed.

Did you find the technical data sheet for the KAF-1600?

Post back, I have the data sheet for the original KAF-1600 on a machine at work.

Looking at your first image, I am guessing that the Sensor needs to be cleaned. This is easy with a Kodak 420: the N90s comes off easily and you clean the glass cover over the CCD. Kodak did not put Visible Blocking filters over the KAF-1600 CCD, but it is best to inspect it. Someone could have done...

I still have Photoshop 3.0. I think it was bundled with the camera- or with the Microtek 1850 bought at about the same time.

Glad to see people keeping these antiques going.

Twain drivers Email out.

Kodak quit hosting these a while ago, I was lucku enough to stumble across them ~2 Years ago. That site is gone as well. I keep these safely on at least four computers. They also contain the final Firmware Rev for the DCS200. I installed these on my camera.

Good Luck!

I have the original TWAIN drivers, circa 1993. I run WIN95B on a Pentium Pro and Photoshop 3.0. I think Jarle archived the TWAIN driver. If not, Let me know and I will host it and post a link. I also wrote a .KC2 to BIN convertor. My camera is Monochrome so I did not put an RGB routine into the FORT...

I also refused to bid because of the original name chosen by the Seller.

I'm going after another DCS200 to have spares for the one I have.

You'll recognize me with the F2Sb.
