Can DCS 200 work with N8008 body?

Another question. I have a DCS200 bought as a complete outfit, which came with an N8008s body. It works fine. I have three DCS200 backs, bought on eBay some time ago for very little, that work fine but have no camera bodies. The other day, I bought a couple of N8008 bodies very inexpensively. The 20...

Output voltage of DCS330 AC adapter

Hi, all Went to fire up my DCS330 today. It has 3 battery trays and has always been very finicky about which one works and having to have it in just the right spot, etc. Now none are working. Maybe it has died from lack of use, or maybe it has just become slightly more finicky. I would like to try a...

It seems to me that most or all of these must have been used for something unusual. They may look new, but may have been fired a lot of times, mounted on a tripod or in a cradle or some such. Looking at the images of them, many of them seem to have the remains of glue or something on at least the ed...

...I think the accessory was the reason for the very high price. The E2/E3 cameras are often sold with incomplete or without accessories. I think that must be it. I am still impressed by the sale amount. I had thought about bidding myself--it is a particularly complete outfit, and I really liked th...

Re: and a ds-515

But 450 USD is a little bit too much for a DS-515. Also when the included AF-Nikkor 4.0-5.6 70-210 mm is considered. It got 2 bids and sold; I like to see evidence that interest in these cameras is growing, it's just nice to think that others are interested, and who knows, maybe they will eventuall...

Can't say much about the Mac interfacing problem. On PCs, most DCS software and interfacing seems to work best on older machines. I have only been able to talk to my DSC200 using an old laptop with Windows 95; even a somewhat newer desktop with Win 98 does not seem to be willing. Also cannot help mu...

I do agree entirely, I certainly don't think that more pixels = better images, but as a general rule, more pixels does = more ability to make large prints, as long as we are still discussing DSLRs. Point-and-shoots are different; the present crop of 12 MP ones with visible noise and noise reduction ...

Hi, Nico Thanks for replying. The point about the lenses is a good one. My main camera for taking pictures (as opposed to collecting) for the past 3 years has been, and will continue to be for at least another couple of years, a D2x, and it is very nice to be able to use AI and D series lenses, whic...

Why do you think D1 series prices remain relatively high?

I just missed out on another D1 on eBay. It sold, no battery, untested recently, for $US220 or so. With charger, tested, they go for about $300. D1x still seems to sell for about $800. I have not been following the D1h so not sure but I think it is intermediate. Why are they so high? As a collector,...

re--no power supply to test it with

I am completely with Stan on this. I never bid on anything on eBay where the vendor says something like that, unless I want it for parts, or am genuinely happy to have it even if it doesn't work. It seems like a far too handy way for sellers to try inflate the price of something that is broken. I ha...

NC2000/e and infrared

One thing you might find interesting is to try the NC2000 or 2000e with a near-cutoff IR filter like an R72. Unlike the DCS420, which seems to have horrible problems with internal reflections, the NC series (and the DCS410 and 200) work much better, producing reasonable photos. Because the 2000 seri...

It sold for $281. Pretty good price for an untested camera with no charger, batteries, cards, etc.

The Studiocam box was so huge and heavy that I ended up having to post it to myself by seamail instead of picking it up. After many trials and tribulations, including the US Postal Service letting the package sit for a few weeks in California then returning it to my relatives for not having a Custom...

Maybe too expensive, but maybe it has started; the march of prices upwards as people realise just how rare these are. I wish. Annoying though as I was hoping to acquire a complete set.

Cheers,
Ross

I don't know about prices for the Fuji cards specifically but I know I have a 30 Mb ATA flash card, bought new in 1994 to use in a HP pocket computer, that cost $US1100, and that was a good deal at the time.

Cheers,
