Yes, the DCS760M is very rare.

But I prefer my 350 Euro/Dollar Kodak DCS760C and use Adobe Lightroom if I want B&W.
Would be interesting how much better (really?) a DCS760M could perform in a battle vs. DCS760C.

Hi,

I would say a 760m will outperform a 760c by a factor of 3 since there is no CFA on the sensor. Back when, I really wanted one for this reason. But, they were Unobtainium at the time, so I also went with a 760c and a plug-in. Now, I am lazy. That plug-in lets me play with virtual filters. A real B+W DSLR means I have to go back to picking a filter when I shoot. :P

But, performance of the 760c with the plug-in is akin to shooting Tri-X Pan. And, that is Good Enough for me. The performance of the 760m is like shooting Tech Pan from images posted out here in cyberspace. And, that is a whole different world. So, I figured I would point out this unit and the price drop. Someone might think it worthwhile. ;)

I have a feeling I see 760Ms listed on eBay all the time. Same camera or is there a bunch of them out there?

Hi,

This one has been listed for several cycles, at the higher price. This listing has the price lowered. So, you have seen this one before.

Stan

Edit: There was one other on there recently, and it was faulty. I don't think it sold, just ran out of time.
