One of only two QV-1000C cameras in France can now be seen online at http://www.museedelaphoto.fr (click on Collections and search for qv 1000c).
For the record: QV Nikkor 10-40mm f/1.4 serial no. 200062. It's almost impossible to read the camera serial number, but it could be 200221 (?). The museum listing claims that 180 units were made:
Don't know their source (could be NikonWeb.com for all I know), but it's the same number mentioned by former Nikon engineer Kenji Toyoda: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=128
Apparently, less than half of these cameras were shipped outside Japan. It's undoubtedly one of the rarest Nikon models ever made. (I may be willing to trade one of my cameras - including two QV lenses - for a Leica M9 with a wide angle lens, btw..)

Jarle, the last three digits of the serial number of the camera in Paris are 921 !! Which is very close to your camera, isn't it?
Lucky you! The first three digits are difficult to read: I think it reads 700 921.
Regards,
Nico
