The Fujifilm DS-300 was announced in June 1997, with a £1800 ($2500) price tag. According to at least one review, the DS-300 uses the same 1.3 megapixel (1280x1000) sensor as the much more expensive Fujix DS-505 and 515 (aka. Nikon E2 and E2S) DSLR models.
It's also considered to be one of the first "affordable" professional digital cameras, which makes it interesting from a historical point of view.

There's now a bunch of these for sale on eBay. "I have about 35-40 of these cameras. They are used but in mint condition, lokk out of the box!"
$25 or best offer.
Beware: No battery.
